C Rating Explained

The C rating indicates how fast a battery can discharge.

Formula

Max Current = C Rating × Capacity (Ah)

Example: 100C × 1.3Ah = 130A

Burst vs Continuous

  • **Continuous C**: Sustained discharge
  • **Burst C**: Short peak (2-10 seconds)

  • Does Higher C Mean Better?

Not always. Higher C batteries are heavier and more expensive. Match the C rating to your drone's actual current draw.
